A woman died and at least five other people were hurt after two vehicles crashed in Queens NY in a suspected drunk driving accident.

City police said that the crash happened at 4:20 AM on Sept. 11 at 120 St. and Linden Blvd. A 25 year old man was driving his Audi northbound with five passengers when he was hit by a woman driving a Honda. The Audi then smashed into a wall and flipped over. News reports indicated that the driver of the Honda was intoxicated and was detained by police.

A 22 year old woman in the Audi was taken to the hospital with severe head trauma and died. The others were taken to hospitals with minor injuries.

Our View

Our Virginia attorneys sue drunk drivers in civil court because their reckless behavior leads to many serious personal injury cases. Some of these personal injury car accidents are so bad that the people involved either die or are maimed for life.

Our Virginia personal injury attorneys who sue drunk drivers do our utmost to find ever source of insurance recovery in these terrible car accidents. With so many people involved in this drunk driving wreck, there are probably several insurance policies that could be tapped in a personal injury lawsuit.

That money could be used to pay the grieving family in a wrongful death action, which they may be entitled to given that the young woman died. Her family may be able to recover compensation for pain and suffering and lost income.

Drunk driving death and injury cases are terrible. The least that can be done in such tragedies is to sue the drunk driver and obtain a financial settlement to help the injured and the suffering families.
